These pictures were taken on a medium format camera in a studio with flash.  
For the first set I dived into the Halloween spirit. I wanted to create a scary scene with minimal props. I understand that the black and white masks would create a sharp contrast taken with black and white film and a bright flash. Masks also conceal a lot of information that we naturally pick up, especially through the eyes and facial expressions. With these features masked we create a completely different narrative. 
For the next set I wanted to do more of a editorial style shoot. Poses, 
styling, and props bring these simple shots into strong pieces of work.
